Dur-vahkiin

So, this isn’t going to be news to anyone by now.  But the first big patch for Skyrim hit the respective consoles and, while I can’t say for sure what was meant to be patched (I believe the PS3 had framerate and texture issues while the 360 had just the latter, though I never noticed) I can say that it wasn’t meant to mess with the dragons in any way.  However, that is the very thing that seems to be at the top of everyone’s complaints about said patch.

That complaint?  The dragons are suddenly mentally handicapped.  The will twitch and seize, warp from one side of the visible terrain to the other, hover in midair for until they see fit, and fly backwards.  You can’t kill them and, should your window-licking dragon be that of the blood variety, then it’ll follow you, drooling all over everything in sight.

Okay, maybe that bit about the drooling is a little exaggerated…

Either way, until Bethesda drops a fix, I would avoid areas known to be inhabited by the flying short-bussers.

  1. Actually I never had this problem. Instead I had the horrible frame rate problems on the PS3. Oh cross platform games. They are wonderful. And of course some quests are glitched so I can’t complete them. It would be awesome if Bethesda would stop trying to “fix” the Oghma Infinium exploit and actually make the game playable.
