Roe has been asking me to put him in a comic for years…litterally. Tonight he finally gets his wish…guess you could call it a kind of Christmas present, heh.
The thing about Roe is that his gaming obsession is pretty much restricted to two games (well, two game series); Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and NCAA Football. Any other games he’ll play and enjoy for a very short period of time before returning to the bile-filled world of Online Multiplayer; a fact that he harbors a small desire to change but ultimately sees no point and I can’t fault him that given that he thoroughly enjoys the select few games he plays. There is, however, a glaring exception to this Rule of Roe…
The Batman: Arkham franchise.
Starting with Arkham Asylum and continuing with a vengeance (see what I did there?) in Arkham City, Roe’s desire to flit around the shadows of Gotham’s underbelly and cave in the skulls of masked thugs with gauntleted fists has proven strong enough to override his need to “shoot faces off” in that other popular game. This fire is one I fan as often as possible.
Anyway, sorry for the pause in updates. I’m sure you’re all fairly aware that a kind of holiday recently passed through the world like a massive money-burning fog. As a result, my creativity took a dip and my spare time for comic-making was devoured by the release of a certain game…one that I’ve been waiting to get my mitts on for something like half a decade.
Well, the boys and their hijinks are back so stay tuned!
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas (or whichever holiday you do or don’t celebrate during this wintry time of year) and will go on to have a great New Year!
