Hey, guys. I know there hasn’t been much going on on the site in a while, but rest assured, I haven’t been slacking creatively. I currently have a few writing projects going, including a webseries that’s coming along quite nicely and hopes to shoot starting this spring. I promise I’ll get back to the comic in the next few weeks but, until then, here’s a little something I did for fun.
I have been a fan of Robert Kirkman for a good many years now and have read his books The Walking Dead and Invincible religiously since the launch of each title. With Invincible it has been pure joy to watch how each of the characters–and there are many–have evolved over the years. It’s amazing the way Kirkman can keep these people and their story as interesting and fun in issue 100 as they were in issue 1. Mark and his story easily make Invincible my all time favorite superhero comic.
On top of all that…Ryan Ottley and Cory Walker (the series’ original artist) have consistently hit it out of the part month after month. In today’s industry, it’s rare to see the same artist stick with a book after a few story arcs, but Ottley has been drawing Invincible for almost as long as it’s been printing and Walker comes back now and again to show us just who it was that brought the character to life in the first place. If you haven’t read this book, I strongly suggest you get out to your nearest comic retailer–or hop onto Comixology–and pick up the first trade paperback immediately!
